Arc eye

Also known as arc flash, welder’s flash, or flash burns, arc eye is apainful burning sensationof the eyes which occurs when welders, who do not use proper eye protection,are exposed to intense ultraviolet light causing inflammation of the cornea (keratitis). It can also occur due to using tanning beds without proper eyewear, excessive sun exposure, or light reflected from snow (known as snow blindness).
