Filing Your Arkansas Car Insurance Claim

We highly recommend that you contact IIHC to refer you free of charge to an auto accident attorney who can handle the legalities of filing an Arkansas car accident claim. Below is a brief description of how to file a claim on your own.

  1. If your auto accident involves more than $1,000.00 in damages or injury then an accident report will need to be completed, even if you were not at fault for the accident. You have 30 days from the date of accident to file the claim.

  2. Keep records of your expenses. Expenses you incur as a result of an automobile accident may be reimbursed under your policy. This could include medical and hospital expenses, lost wages and at least part of your costs if you have to hire a temporary housekeeper.

  3. Keep copies of your paper work.  Keep copies of all paper work in your own files. You may need to refer to it later.
